How to file in CA as a non-resident, active military?

If you are not a resident of CA and are just stationed there under official orders, then you don't need to file a CA return at all. The only reason you would file a CA return would be if you have non-military income from a job you worked in CA for a CA employer.  Do you have that?

This link California Military  is to the California Franchise Tax Board and has information specifically for members of the military and the requirements to file a California.

If you are required to file a California tax return you may do so using TurboTax Deluxe.
