Will I receive a Schedule K-1 for a MLP stock which I owned for less than 6 months (non-covered security which basis is not reported to the IRS) and had (1) distribution?

I already received a 1099-B on the sale proceeds, and, a 1099-DIV on the distribution.  The 1099-B stated that it was a "noncovered security which basis is not reported to the IRS").  The 1099-DIV stated that the "partnership distribution is non-reportable and is not being furnished to the IRS".  I wasn't sure if I should expect to receive a K-1 form for this short term security.

If the MLP was a Publicly Traded Partnership, you will receive a complete package of the Schedule K-1 along with Ownership report.  These packages began to be mailed in quantity on 2/28/2019.  Online access may be available at https://www.taxpackagesupport.com

To learn how to import the MLP PTP parternership tax package data go here:

It's not that complicated

Login to taxpackage.support.com

Select the K-1 package to import

IMPORT

You will be prompted to specify a location to which to download the TXF file.

In TT navigate to

FILE/IMPORT/From accounting Sw

then point to the TXF file you just saved on the computer.

Good Luck
