Why are the numbers wrong in the Capital Loss Carryover? Serious issue!
The software copied the same starting value from the previous year instead of using the final value.

Could you have had a negative AGI or negative taxable income? it will show up on 1040BUT it won't reduce the carryover to the next year.

Nope, in 2022 losses of 579K, 2023 gains knocked that down to 398 but this year's TurboTax loaded back in the 579 number for the calculations. Major mistake.
