where do my capital gains show up?

Did you enter an investment sale using the 2024 TurboTax program?  If so, any gain or loss on the sale will be entered on the Form 1040 Line 7

Capital Gains and Losses go on Schedule D which goes to 1040 line 7.   Oh you need to enter them?   If you use the Online version you will need to upgrade to Premium.  

Enter a 1099B  and Sales under

Federal Taxes Tab or Personal (Home & Business)

Wages & Income

Then scroll down to Investment Income,

Then Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other - click Start or Update
