You'll need TurboTax Premier online to report any rental income & expenses for the room you rent.

There's a special section in TurboTax called Rental Properties and Royalties, and that's where you'll enter your information.

In TurboTax Premier, you'll find that section by clicking on the Federal Taxes tab, then Wages & Income, then scroll down and you'll see the heading for Rental Properties and Royalties.  Below the heading, you'll select Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E) and follow the prompts.  TurboTax will walk you step by step thru the process.
