We moved last year from an apartment to a house that we rent with family members. I updated our address. It still asks me to put in apt./ Unit # and won't let me e-file.

Despite going over the address multiple times, it does not need an apt. or Unit #, but TurboTax seems to think it does. It won't let me E-file without it. Does that mean I have to mail it in? It only occurs on my State taxes and not my Federal Taxes. Would I have to Mail in both or just State and E-file the federal?

No, you do not have to mail the tax return.  First go to the Apt number space and use the 'delete' key, then follow the instructions next.

In this situation, first please try clearing the cookies and cache.   It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis.

  • Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and see if you are able to complete the filing process.
