Unsure of how to calculate basis for DVMT shares exchanged in Dell's DVMT buyout 12/18. Is my DVMT basis FMV ($47.20) or is it dependent on original basis of EMC shares?

If you acquired your DVMT as a result of owning EMC stock when it was purchased by Dell, the your cost basis in DVMT would be determined by your cost basis in your EMC stock.
