Turbo tax says i need to upgrade to TurboTax Deluxe because i sold stocks, bonds or mutual funds. i did not sell any assets in 2020. why do i need to upgrade?

Do you have a k-1 that may have sold items that need to go on your return? See How to Delete and get rid of anything not needed.
