Sales of Foreign Investments can't be reported for Turbotax 2024 but it could be in the past

I'm using Turbotax 2024 Home & Business.

I'm finding that this new wizard for reporting investment sales is missing functionality that the old one used to have.

Specifically, Turbotax 2022 prompts you: "Did you get a 1099-B or a brokerage statement for these sales". You can answer NO, and it takes you into a wizard to report information which ultimately makes its way to the 8949 and Schedule D.

However, Turbotax 2024 does not seem to have a way to report any stock/investment sales without it being on a 1099-B. What the hell turbotax? Is there a way to do this anymore?

yes, i know there are issues with the new way Turbotax has for reporting the sale of capital assets. The good news is that there is a workaround. Pretned you got a 1099-B.  For the name you can use Foreign Securities.  (it goes nowhere when you file)
