Sale of stocks, when U buy the same stock at diffent times and different dates, the 1099 B reports that the time acquired showes (varies) Your program seems not to allow this ,, How best to report this.. using you tax program

Group the purchases into long term (more than one year from sale) and short term (less than one year from sale).  Make an entry for long term, short term, or both.  For the purchase date, type "various."
