Noncash contributions worksheet needs cost/adjusted basis but will not let me type in the box

To change the value of the cost or adjusted basis in the donated property that is on your Noncash Contribution Worksheet, you will have to edit your donation.

1. Launch TurboTax and go the Deductions and Credits Section
2. Scroll down until you get to the Donations to Charity in 2022 and select Edit
3. Select Edit by the item that you want to modify
4. Select Continue until you get to the screen that says “Tell us about the items you gave to ____”
5. Enter the amount of the cost in the box that says Value.

When you go back to the Noncash Contributions Worksheet the value will be in the cost or adjusted basis area.
