Is TurboTax Deluxe the appropriate version to report profits/losses on sales of options contracts & stocks within an investment account (NOT an IRA)?

If you are using TurboTax Online, you will need at least TurboTax Premier or higher. TurboTax Premier includes everything in Deluxe, plus Schedules D (investments) and E (rentals and royalties).

If you are using the TurboTax CD/Download desktop version, you can use Deluxe. Just know Premier will still be the recommended one since it offers more guidance when entering that information. You can find desktop versions here TurboTax CD/Download software
