Is there a way to use turbotax to do some "what if" planning? Trying figure out whether to sell our rental house or keep it.

Using the TurboTax desktop editions you can use the What-If worksheet in Forms mode.

With the desktop program opened click on Forms in the upper right of the program screen.  When in Forms mode click on Open Form in the upper left of the screen.  Type in what-if and click on the result to open the worksheet.

Or you can use the TurboTax calculator Taxcaster to get an estimate of a refund or taxes owed - https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/taxcaster/

I always use the on line version.   Any help for me?

The online version does not have any type of what-if worksheets.  And the 2017 online editions will not be available until early December.  Your only option would be to use the TaxCaster calculator right now.
