In reviewing Capital gains, I am asked to under cost basis and it does not let me add them in order so I have to guess which line they are describing. Need help

Are you entering individual lines of transactions of an IRS form 1099-B or an IRS form 8949 Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Assets?  Or are you trying to correct individual lines of transactions?

Are you using TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop?  Please advise.
