In 2018 I moved and converted my old property to a rental property. In 2019, I stopped renting and put it up for sale. I did not rent at all in 2019, what should I claim?

Can I list sale of home as primary residence as it was previously before I started renting?  Since I did not rent it at all in 2019, is it considered a rental property at all?

As far as the IRS is concerned, it remains rental property until you take action to convert the property back to personal use. You may or may not need to do that. It depends on what date the last renter moved out, and the closing date of your sale.
On what date did you stop renting it?  (Typically, one day after the last renter moved out, if you did not advertise it for rent after that date.)
On what date did you close on the sale?
Can I list sale of home as primary residence as it was previously before I started renting?
That may be possible. But you will not report the sale where you may think you report it.

Again, as far as the IRS is concerned, the property is rental property until you take action to convert it back to personal use.

Thank you for the reply, we stopped renting in late 2018, last renter was technically out on November 30th at which point we stopped renting.  We then sold in 2019, closing date 5/28.  We also had previously lived in the property 2 years prior to renting (so 2 of the last 5 years).

You mentioned:

Where would I report this?
