If my stocks were in the negatives for investments and 0 for dividends, do I need to upload my 1099-B?

I made no profit off my first time stocks in 2024 and had 0 dividends. Does the 1099-B even need to be filed?

Yes, you should enter it or upload it.  You will not even have a Form 1099-B if there is nothing to be reported on it.

Form 1099-B will report whether you sold any of your investments or sometimes it reports a transaction having to do with your stock holdings that you did not initiate such as when there is a stock spinoff or split and a fractional share was sold on your behalf.
