If I live with my parents and I pay for my car, clothes, food etc.. does that count as supporting myself even though I’m not paying rent or electric?

You don't say how old you were on Dec 31 of the tax year, or if you were a full time student for any one semester that started in the tax year. That matters.

If you're looking for a way for your parents to not qualify to claim you, depending on the cercumstances that may not be possible. It just depends on the fine details. There are very, very few undergraduates that do not qualify as a dependent on their parent's tax return.

You have to consider the rent and utilities, etc.
