If I have 5 different dates as to when I purchased a stock and now have sold it, how do I input that information?

You can enter various for the purchase dates or var.  But first you need to separate the Long Term and Short Term purchases.  So you may need to enter 2 sales for it, one for Long Term and for Short Term.  Purchases made over a year ago are Long Term.
