What Deluxe lacks, however, is a specific interview for ESPP stock. If you know what you're doing and the compensation - if any - was reported on your W-2, then you can use Deluxe, adjusting the basis appropriately.

Oops, I had JUST ordered this... What kind of interview questions do you mean? I take it then you mean that Sched D is there in paper form and I have a o read it’s instructions then input the stuff directly? What did Premeir do for me so I have a way to judge?
The good news is I can return it to Amazon unopened with no difficulty. My taxes are simple enough that I can do it all on paper without much issue. I use Quicken out of laziness and speed only. If I have to do parts myself (arguably the most complex parts compared to the rest of my taxes) then I may just save the entire purchase amount.
Intuit made a bus Ness call taking it out of Deluxe to put in Premeir a couple years back, I will make my own call this year to go back to how I used to do them before becoming a ~20? year customer of TurboTax.
"What kind of interview questions do you mean? "
Premier and above have "step by step" interviews for all sorts of employer stock incentive programs: ISO, NQSO, RUS, ESPP, etc. Those really are not necessary IF you know what you're doing.

NO. Although you can use TurboTax in "Forms Mode" - which is exactly like filling out paper forms - there's no need to resort to that in this case. ASSUMING any compensation associated with the sale HAS been reported on the W-2 then you can handle this with the generic "stock sale" interview. The broker is only going to report your out of pocket cost for the stock, not the correct cost which includes the compensation created by the sale. TurboTax's generic "stock' interview can handle this.
