I pay pad rent in a mobile home community in Jefferson county Missouri. I am told there is a way to recoup some of that money through the IRS. Is this true?

A neighbor told me a gentleman told her he has done it for years. I had never heard of it before. Is there anything to it? Please and thank you.

On a federal tax return there is no deduction or credit for rent paid. This may be available on a state tax return.
