I just completed the mortgage tax break using form 1098, but I entered some of this information earlier when describing my rental property (same property). Am I making an error by entering this information twice?

Thank you!

Yes.  Mortgage interest and property taxes on a rental property go to Schedule E and must be entered as Rental Expenses, not to Schedule A as itemized deductions.  And they are only entered once.
