I have entered information in "Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E)" multiple times, but it still shows "Not Started." How do I get my Schedule E information to save?

I am using TurboTax online. I have logged out and back in, and have navigated the Schedule E wizard multiple times. The data looks good for tax year 2020 but when I click "Done" it resets to "Not started" on the "Your income" summary with a green "Start" button. How do I get it to save the information and apply it to my income summary?

If the information is there, the next question, are the forms in your return? If the forms are there and correct, you are fine. See How do I preview my TurboTax Online return before filing?

I've noted that in some instances, nothing is saved in a section until you complete that section. For the rental section it's not complete until you get to a screen with a "done with rentals" button (or something similar) on it, and actually click that button to enter the next section.

Yes I have done this. After I click "Done" in the Rental Income section I am returned to the "Your Income" summary page. At the bottom, it says, "Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E)" with my property name below it, and next to that it still says "Not started." I can't find anywhere else besides Schedule E to enter my rental income. If I click "Start" again, all the correct info is in there for 2020. Is it OK as is? It seems very strange that it keeps showing "Not started" even though it appears to have saved the info.

Thanks AmyC. This is a great answer. I was able to preview my tax documents and see the completed Schedule E. I think there is a bug in the online software that shows Rental Income as "not started" even though it is complete, but it doesn't appear to block submitting the return. Thanks for the quick and helpful response.
