I have capital gains from a foreign brokerage. Each time I try to add it asks me for a 1099-B. How do I declare proceeds without a 1099B ?

pretend you have a 1099-B  the form 8949 checkbox would be either c for short term or f for long term

the other boxes that need data 3,4,6.7

So in the case I dont have a 1099-B (and wont have one), do i just ignore the prompt at the end where it says i need to either either mail in a 1099-B or upload it?
