I do not get a 1099-DIV from MetLife Insurance. How do I input this dividend?

TurboTax will not accept the dividend amount without the 1099-DIV info.

I would recommend you verify that your dividends are taxable. A cash value policy declares dividends that are not taxable. You should also ask if any of the dividends were qualified.

Let me help you navigate the missing 1099DIV.

1. Log into your return

2. select  Pick Up Where I Left Off

3. In the top towards the right corner, locate the Magnifying glass/search

4. enter the exact wording 1099div

5. click Enter

6. Select the first entry Jump to 1099div

7. Did you receive any dividend income? Select YES

8. Scroll to the bottom right, click on I'll type it in myself

9. Enter the Payer name

10 Enter the ordinary dividends

11.click Continue

12. Click None of these apply
