It depends.
If you no longer need anything with the rental, click the trash can icon next to it. To get there in TurboTax, follow these steps:
- From the left menu, select Federal
- Wages & Income
- Scroll down to Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E) and click Edit/Add
- You may have to answer a few questions before the Rental and Royalty Summary
- From this page,
- select the trash can icon to delete the entire section
- Select Edit to delete a portion of the details as needed from Review Your Rental Summary
