I have not filed my 1099-div forms since 2010.

The 1099-DIV forms must be filed a each year's tax return. You would have to amend every tax return for the years you didn't include them. Is the amount on the 1099-DIV each year enough to change the taxes owed?

Remember State taxes as well.

The amounts are between $300-$800 each year. I have not previously owed taxes. Always got back the money.

You can use this IRS pub to determine if you would have even needed to file a tax return for each of those years by including the 1099-DIV income if you have never had a tax liability: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p501.pdf">http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p501.pdf</a>
The numbers change a little bit each year.

If you would not have needed to file a return, then I would not file an amended return unless the IRS contacts you about it.

According to the Pub It looks like I would have had to file, because of my earned income.
