How do I put other deductions for mineral royalties on my Schedule E? Miscell. Expenses are shown on my California taxes as "other expense (Rental use only)"

Mineral royalties usually have expenses for taxes and fees.  After you have entered your royalty income you will have the opportunity to enter expenses related to the income.  Just enter it under the royalty and rental section of the 'Wages and Income' section of your federal return.  It will carry over to the state returns.
