How do I make a correction or change to data entered for 'Your Investment Sale Summary' , Schedule D input?

I am using 2023 premier desktop TurboTax (I check for updates regularly, including today) .  I need to correct an entry for a Form 1099-B input. I made a data entry error and need to fix it.   I entered all information manually, I did not import.  I cannot find any means to edit the transactions that I entered.  Nor can I delete the transaction and reenter (there is no delete or trash icon to delete, presently cannot make any change once entered).  I have used TurboTax for years, this is the first time I have not been able to edit or delete any input data for investment sales.  Any help would be welcomed!

Thank you very much for your reply.  There is a very narrow scroll bar at the bottom of the screen (which I obviously missed seeing), which when moved to the right reveals the hidden columns which includes the edit and trash can icon.

To correct or remove your IRS form 1099-B entries in TurboTax Desktop  Premier, follow these steps:

  • Across the top of the screen, click Federal Taxes.
  • Across the top of the screen, click Wages & Income.
  • Select I'll choose what I work on.
  • Scroll down too Investment Income.
  • Select Start/Update to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
  • At the screen Your investment sales summary, the Edit button and delete trashcan are found to the right of the investments.

There are reports of customers not being able to view the items to the far right unless they move the scroll bar at the bottom of the page to the right.

Perhaps that is your experience, as well.

In my case, I did not see a scroll bar on the Investment Summary Page.  I had to click Edit next to the sale first.  On the page that appears, I see a scroll bar, which allows to me scroll to the right to see the trash can.
