Getting message to call irs give them code 1211 but I can't get thru anyone know what this means

What?   Getting a message from where?   The IRS NEVER calls you.   If you have some sort of phone message, voice mail  or text message that says they are the IRS it is a scam.   The IRS only contacts you by mail----did the IRS send you a letter in the mail?

IRS Reference Code 1121 (not 1211) indicates your account has been selected for further review.  But, as indicated, the IRS will never call or email you.  Exactly how did you receive this message?  Was it on the IRS website?
