Fidelity 1099-Div indicates capital gains distribution for funds re-invested that I never touched. How can I adjust for that? Annual activity summary shows reinvested.

Fidelity agrees that funds were reinvested, but they said there’s nothing they can do about it.

It does not matter if you actually get the dividend or have it reinvested, it is still taxable income when issued as you could have taken the money.

No adjustment is needed.
