Downloading 2020 tax file.

I purchased TurboTax Home and Business on Amazon.  I downloaded my 2020 turbotax pdf file from Intuit. When I try to transfer the data from my 2020 pdf file, it says that it has been transferred, but when I look at the info on my 2021 tax file, nothing got transferred. Any suggestions?

The only data you can import from a PDF file is the information under the My Info tab. That's it. You need to download the .tax2020 file and import your data from that. That's the only way to import everything needed.

A transfer of the prior year's PDF will result in limited information being transferred to the current tax year.

 

You want to transfer your .tax2020 file when you start your 2021 return.
