Do you have to be on lease to qualify for DC rent credit Schedule H? I make less than 20K but I’m not on the lease.
I get that I qualify for the rent credit but I am not on lease and don’t want to be in trouble.

No, you do not have to be named on the lease. You will need to provide documentation of how much rent you paid in the form of rent receipts since you are not on the lease.
