Do I list myself as a property manager under Income and Expenses if I run a AirBnB apartment in my home?

Do I list income from AirBnB as self employment income or just list on Schedule C

No, income from AirBnB would be reported on Schedule E as rental income not self-employment income. 

 

To enter your rent received on Schedule E click the following:

  • Federal
  • Income and Expenses
  • Show more next to Rentals, Royalties and Farm
  • Start next to Rental Properties and Royalties
