Do I have to issue a 1099 for paying commission to a property mgr for finding tenants for a primary residence converting to rental property? I am not a business entity.

Or for paying a plumber for repairs? I claimed deductions for these expenses. These individuals work for their own companies. I do not employ or contract them.

Generally, if you paid them more than $600 you should issue a 1099.

However, you are not required to issue 1099 to these professionals, especially if you have other documentation to support these expenses.
