Do I enter real estate taxes on the 1098 even if it is already reported as an expense in the rental section?

I am filling the data from my 1098 forms received from the lender and I have entered the real estate taxes paid there. However, that is for a rental, and in the rental section in Turbot Tax, I have already reported that as an expense. It seems incorrect to report that in both the places... Can you please confirm? For my rental, should I just leave the real estate taxes section empty when adding the 1098 details?

If the 1098 applies to your rental property, you do not enter it again for your personal residence deduction.  If you entered the information in the rental property section, it will be deducted on your Schedule E.  If your 1098 is both your rental and part for your personal residence, you would have indicate such in the rental property section.
