Do I declare investments as income because I transferred them to a different broker?

I just wanted to consolidate my husband's accounts at Ameriprise with my accounts at Edward Jones.  Nothing was sold for cash.

No, the transfer of your investments to another account is not a taxable event and is not reported on your tax return.
