Can I use the date my current investment broker acquired stocks from another broker as the date of acquisition if I do not have the date if these long held stocks?

These stocks were acquired through other brokers and transferred to our current broker.

No, The broker is of no consequence. It is the date that you purchased the investment regardless of the broker.
