Can I submit a single summary 1099 Div entry for several holdings in a brokerage account or do I have to enter data for each holding?

The IRS computers match 1099-DIVs. So, you should enter each one exactly as the broker reported it. But, most brokers use a consolidated 1099-Div, so that you only have to enter it once for the account, not each of the holdings in the account
