Can i add books taken on rent from amazon.com as student tax deductible?

i was a part time student who took books on rent during my academic year. Can I add the rent for the books in tax deductibles?

Books or course materials can be counted as education expenses only for the American Opportunity Credit.

As a part-time student, you do not qualify for the American Opportunity Credit. Therefore the cost of renting books is not deductible.
