2020 Futures trading. I have a Substitute 1099-B Regulated Futures Contracts, but TurboTax isn't asking me the questions needed to report this negative figure?

How to report a Substitute 1099-B Futures Contracts form?

Click on the Federal Taxes tab
Select the Wages and Income tab
Scroll down to the Investment Income subgroup
Next the Contracts and Straddles line, and click the start button
Answer YES that you had Sec. 1256 contracts
Don't make any special elections selections unless they apply to you
On the Contracts and Straddles page, choose the box next to the Sec. 1256 Contracts marked-to-market
Click continue, and from there TurboTax will take you through the necessary questions and answers tree.

FYI RFC's are tax 60% long-term 40% short-term regardless of the period actually held. I do not enter all trades on the form just the broker and the net profit or loss.

You will enter just one number: your Gain, or your Loss.

That's it.
