Here's where you enter or import your 1099-B in TurboTax:

  1. Open (continue) your return if it isn't already open.
  2. In TurboTax, search for 1099-B and then select the Jump to link in the search results.
  3. Answer Yes to Did you sell stocks, mutual funds, bonds, or other investments in 2019?
    • If you see Here's the info we have for these investment sales, select Add More Sales.
  4. Answer Yes to Did you get a 1099-B or brokerage statement for these sales?
  5. At Let's get your tax info, choose how you want to enter your 1099-B (import or type it in yourself).
  6. Follow the instructions.

Form 1099-DIV reports dividend income you received from your investments. To enter this in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open or continue your return.
  2. Search for 1099-DIV and select the Jump to link in your search results.
  3. Answer Yes to Did you receive any dividend income?
  4. Choose your bank or brokerage from the list to import your 1099-DIV and select Continue or manually enter your 1099-DIV  by selecting I'll type it in myself.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your 1099-DIV.

despite SOME people saying they were able to import preliminary 1099 data from their brokerage firm, it appears that Fidelity will not transmit preliminary data. so, if you are trying to get a jump on your return, you need to enter all trade (1099-B) , DIV and INT data line by line by hand.
