The tax law changed.   The child tax credit reverted back to the "old" rules.   If your child was older than 16 at the end of 2022, you do not get the child tax credit; you get the $500  credit for other dependents.  If you have a child younger than 17, the child tax credit is $2000, but the refundable portion is a maximum amount of $1500.
