We cannot answer questions about the state's laws regarding unemployment compensation.  That is  a question for your state's unemployment bureau.

 

If you have self-employment income you will need to report that income on your tax return, though.  You say you will receive a 1099 so that 1099 will also be reported to the IRS/state.
