After you file
@Ninja29 You may need to re-read some of the information in this thread. Once you file your tax return and it has been accepted by the IRS, TurboTax is done. The IRS does not provide TT with any information regarding the processing of your return or your refund. It is up to you to track your own refund on the IRS refund site. If you received a lower refund than you expected, then you have to sort that out with the IRS or with the third party bank that is involved if you chose to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund.
There is nothing in your posts here to indicate whether you have received a letter from the IRS about your reduced refund, or whether you have checked the IRS site for information, nor have you mentioned contacting the third party bank.
Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax. TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.
You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com
