@Bonhart Your brother's bank will likely reject the deposit and send it back.   Then a check will have to be issued and mailed to the address on your tax return.   If your refund was coming directly from the IRS the check will be mailed from the IRS .   If you were having your TurboTax fees deducted from the federal refund, the extra wrinkle in the process will mean that the third party bank has to issue the check to you....which may take more time.  Going forward, do not try to use someone else's account to receive a tax refund....or any other funds for that matter.
