When you contacted the IRS did you speak to a representative or only used the automated system?
The IRS may still be experiencing processing delays due to Covid-19. The IRS does suggest you contact them if it has been more than 6 weeks since you mailed your return. You may want to try calling early when the IRS first opens before the queue has built up.
