After you file
@Blackjacobin4 I am not an employee of TurboTax and have no reason to lie to you about the software or what it does. I am a volunteer who provides help in the user forum.
Audit defense has nothing whatsoever to do with the processing of your original tax return. TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS about your return after you file it. The IRS does not share information about your return with a software company after you file it.
Perhaps you did not understand what "Audit Defense" is or when it can be used. The fact that your refund is delayed does not mean you are being audited. Audit defense does not come into play for a delayed refund.
