have download turbotax; but it won't let me enter the licence code. help

Can you please provide more details regarding the error you are experiencing?  Is the program not prompting to enter the license code on the activation screen?

A prompt to enter the code came up right after I inserted the cd, following directions.  The box immediately disappeared as I attempted to enter the code.  I went through the process again and ended up with a second turbotax icon(which I cannot get rid of). but no prompt showed up.. I tried to follow this procedure many times but no luck.  What do I do?

THIS FINALLY WORKED! 

I had to reinstall at the lower resolution using Microsoft Edge as my default browser (Instead of Chrome which I prefer) then just hovered the test cursor over the box for the code and carefully and blindly typed it in...INCLUDING THE DASHES, then clicked the activate button.  Nothing acts like its responding, but it worked.

What a ridiculous process.

After 8 years, I will be looking for a different tax software for next year.

Same issue here.

CD version reached its max. submission, now I uninstalled the TurboTax version & after I reinstalled it is does not ask me for the License key.

@sartagudajon  Does it run without asking to activate?  Or it doesn't get that far?  Why did you reinstall?  The Desktop program can do unlimited returns but only efile 5.  You can not get more efiles by reinstalling or buying another program.

Sorry you can not buy more efiles, you can not efile more than 5.  It is an IRS limit.  If you need to efile more you have to buy Intuit Products for Tax Professionals https://taxpro.intuit.com  and sign up with the IRS as an ERO - an Electronic Returns Originator.  How to become an Authorized E-file Provider…..

I have purchased a new 2020 intuit turbotax home & business Personal & Self-employed product. The license code in the package is not accepted when I entered it to the intuit account so that I can get started doing my taxes.
