To file a prior year return that has not yet been filed, the 2019 tax rules must be used.
First, purchase the 2019 tax software if you have not purchased it already. Next, enter your details. Lastly, print and mail your federal and state (if applicable) tax returns as @SweetieJean explained.
TurboTax will include directions for where to mail the returns.
