Taxpayers can claim the credits on their 2020 Form 7202, for leave taken between April 1 and Dec. 31, 2020, and on their 2021 Form 7202 for leave taken between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2021. To be an eligible self-employed person, both of the following must be true:
- You have regularly carried on a trade or business.
- Eligible to receive qualified sick leave wages under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act .
- Eligible to receive qualified family leave wages under the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act.
Form 7202 is not available for e-filing, according to our forms availability sheet.
